| Definition: Configure the e-commerce settings for your business. Specify whether you would like to use e-commerce to increase sales, auto-pricing settings, appearance specifications, and custom content. Note: for users operating with multiple warehouse locations, this section is controlled on a per warehouse basis. If you have enabled the "Multiple e-commerce sites" option in control panel Step 2) Mobile Inventory Settings, be sure to set these settings for each new warehouse added.
e-Commerce Store: In addition to selling your products on auction
venues, you can also sell products on your own
website. All you’ll need to run a fully operational, interactive e-commerce
website is a domain name and few minutes to configure the wizard. Then,
customers will be able to make purchases right from your e-commerce webpage.
You can also utilize the Global Checkout feature which will replace the
normal venue checkout with your website. If you are ready to use the [[Global
Checkout]], call your account representative to get the feature turned on.
E-Commerce Store Settings
Use e-Commerce - If you have a domain and are ready to sell products on your e-commerce site, you can enable e-commerce.
Domain name (URL) - To use your e-commerce site, you should have a domain name
registered. For example: www.yourstore.com. If you have a domain
name already registered, enter it.
Customer service phone number - enter your phone number.
Customer Service Email Address - Enter the e-mail address you would like to display and
receive all questions to for your e-commerce listings.
This is the e-mail address that will receive messages when someone uses your
"Contact Us" page on your e-commerce website.
Clean up unpaid orders
after xx hours : Specify the timeframe (in hours) for how long the
unpaid orders will remain active (pending payment) until the payment is
received.
(ie. If this value is set to 4, then within 4 hours from the time that the order
was created and the payment was not received, Laris will automatically release
those products from the pending order, place them back into your available
inventory and delete the unpaid e-commerce order itself. (The recommended value
is between 1-4 hours, unless you want your customer to be able to log in, for
example, the next day and be able to checkout for the items that he placed into
their shopping cart today.
Note : When an item is placed in a pending payment order - it is no longer
available on your e-commerce site unless the available quantity of this item is
greater than zero.
Show Zero Quantity - When a product is sold on your e-commerce site and zero
quantity remains for that product, the e-commerce listing will still
remain and reflect it’s “Out of Stock” status.
Display only unique products : When this feature is enabled,
only unique manufacturer, model, and model descriptions will be displayed on
your e-commerce site.
For Example: If you add two unique product IDs with
Manufacturer : IBM
Model : T30
Model Description : P4 2GHz laptop
only one T30 will be displayed on your e-commerce site until it has sold, but as
soon as the first one sells, the second T30 wil automatically get listed.
Display eBay Item Specifics : Enabling this option will display
eBay item specifics in your e-commerce product details page.
For Example: A digital camera has additional item specifics entered on eBay such
as resolution, how many megapixels etc..
These are the additional item specifics that will appear in the product details
of the product in your e-commerce, if this option is enabled.
Display Total Available Qty - this will show the available
items on your e-commerce site.
Ecommerce Registration Mode: There are two options to choose from when choosing
the registration mode for your website.
Registration with Password Required - this option will require buyers to specify
a custom password when purchasing items from your e-commerce website.
Auto-generated password, not required when registering - this option will not
prompt buyers for a password and e-mail them a auto-generated password after
they register.
SSL Enabled (https://) - With this option you can specify if you would like to
enable SSL on your e-commerce site. Please note, that you must already have an
SSL certificate setup on your account in order to enable the SSL certificate. If
you do not have an SSL certificate, or are unsure, please contact your account
representative for more information.
Using Analytics Scripts
Analytics scripts are generally a free service offered by Google, Yahoo,
Microsoft adCenter and various other service providers which generate detailed
statistics about the visitors to a website, order and sale. Its main highlight
is that you can optimize your AdWords advertisement and marketing campaigns
based on where the visitors came from, how long they stayed on the website,
their geographical position and what they are buying. You may enter more than
one Analytics script here if you would like to track statistics with multiple
service providers.
The Analytics Script box should have the main script that will track user
behavior on each page pasted in.
The Tags for Orders are used when tracking conversions on your e-commerce
website.
After setting up your analytics script, you can test the functionality of the
script with an existing order.
Auto-Pricing Settings
Use Autopricing - Autopricing is a tool that gathers information about your
products and attempts to price them automatically. When compiling an
auto-generated price, the autopricing engine will look through
various criteria such as MSRP, retail price, reserve prices and
previous selling prices.
Autopricing Based On - Specify which price autopricing should use if a specific
e-commerce price is not provided for the item.
Autopricing Formula - You could define the formula for autopricing by entering
it here. For example, you may indicate that if autopricing is based
on MSRP, the automatically calculated price would be set as 90% of
the MSRP.
Customize your E-Commerce Appearance
Enter your company name - This will be in the TITLE tag of each of your pages
before the rest of the title. This can be used more stragegically for SEO
then putting your actual store name in the text box. You might want to
input your main keyword instead.
Next, choose to use your company logo or store name on your website. This
selection will show up in your e-commerce template.
Design Master
Choose one of the templates that are included with Laris.
You can customize the content on each page by clicking the bar under the design
master called "Customize e-commerce Content".
When you click edit towards the right of the interface, a WYSIWYG editor will
show up and you can customize your website.
